A hands-on industrial visit where Khalsa College Patiala students explored AI, software development, real projects, and career pathways at Meander Training Chandigarh.
Industrial visits are one of the most powerful experiences in a student’s academic journey. They bridge the gap between what students learn in classrooms and what the industry expects from young professionals. On Fri Nov 14, 2025, students from Khalsa College Patiala visited Meander Training (Meander Software), Chandigarh, for a full-day Industrial Visit focused on AI, software development, real-world projects, and modern career paths in technology.
The visit was designed to give students practical exposure, hands-on demonstrations, and a chance to understand how real products, SaaS platforms, and AI systems are built from scratch. What made this visit special was Meander’s “Build What Matters” philosophy, which encourages students to create real-world impact instead of collecting certificates.
The energy across the entire session stayed high, curiosity-driven, and interactive, making it one of the most engaging visits we’ve hosted.
The session opened with an introduction to the journey of Meander Training - how it grew from a small product studio into a unique learning ecosystem where students, developers, and industry partners work together to build real solutions.
Students were introduced to:
This set the tone for the entire day. Students quickly realised that tech careers today require hands-on experience, problem-solving ability, and industry-level exposure — exactly what Meander is structured to deliver.
One of the most exciting parts of the visit was the Live AI Demo, where students saw how modern AI systems work behind the scenes.
The session covered:
Students were shown how AI can:
Many students asked questions about AI career paths, salaries, and global demand - proving how relevant and important this field has become for young engineers.
Instead of showing slides or theory, the Meander team demonstrated actual working projects, giving students clarity on how real software systems are designed, developed, and deployed.
The showcase included:
Students especially loved the part where they saw real projects built by Meander students being used by real clients. This helped them understand how college students can build impactful products, how practical learning accelerates career growth, and how Meander empowers students to contribute to real business problems.
A major highlight of the visit was understanding how Meander Training is different from typical coaching or training institutes.
Meander follows a project-first approach, where:
The team explained how Meander’s ecosystem helps students build strong portfolios, gain interview-ready skills, become job-ready through continuous practice, work in real developer environments, and build products that add value. This segment helped students understand that tech careers are built by doing, not just by attending classes.
The session also included a clear, practical roadmap on how students can plan their careers effectively.
The students appreciated this segment because it gave them clarity on what to do next, not just what to study.
The Q&A session turned out to be one of the most dynamic parts of the industrial visit.
Students asked thoughtful and career-driven questions like:
The Meander team answered every question with real examples, giving practical and honest insights instead of motivational theories. The enthusiasm from Khalsa College students showed their genuine interest in technology and their desire to grow.
Students were taken on a guided office tour, where they saw team workspaces, project discussions, QA and testing environments, and how tasks move from assignment → development → review → deployment.
Students also observed how developers collaborate using an agile workflow, daily stand-ups, and professional communication. For many students, this was their first time inside a real software workspace - a valuable learning experience that expanded their perspective.
Meander demonstrated real product stories, including client onboarding, requirement analysis, UI/UX planning, development phases, API integrations, deploying live servers, and maintaining and scaling a product.
Students understood how even simple ideas can become global digital products. This motivated them to start thinking about their own projects and career goals.
The visit ended with a powerful closing message: “Your degree will open doors, but your skills will decide how far you go.”
Students were reminded that anyone can learn code, build real projects, and secure internships and placements. What matters is consistency and real practice. Meander’s goal is to make every student a builder - someone who creates technology, not someone who just studies it.
Several students from Khalsa College shared their feedback:
The students left with clarity, motivation, and strong interest in pursuing real-world tech skills.
The industrial visit by Khalsa College Patiala to Meander Training / Meander Software proved to be much more than a simple educational trip. It became an eye-opening journey into the future of technology, practical learning, and career readiness.
Meander is proud to support young talent by giving them real exposure, real projects, and real direction - helping them become skilled professionals ready to build what truly matters.
We look forward to hosting Khalsa College again and empowering more students with industry-driven experiences.
